How to create your own station

Configure Stream-2-Stream

Option 1: Internet

  1. Launch the s2s server.
  2. Let the bandwidth test take place, if it is not completed, go to settings->options->test bandwidth (sets fields below).
  3. If you want to limit your bandwidth go to settings->options->network->internet. Verified Upload Limit and Verified Download Limit are the fields to set. After you finish click save settings.
  4. Forward ports 2000-2001 TCP and UDP on your router
  5. s2s is now configured. Unless you have problems, you will not need to configure it again.

Option 2: Other network than the internet(LAN or WAN)

  1. Launch the s2s server.
  2. The bandwidth test will fail, it is supposed to.
  3. Go to Settings->Options->General
  4. Choose LAN(Unverified Bandwidth).
  5. If you want to limit your bandwidth go to network->LAN. LAN Upload Limit and LAN Download Limit are the fields to set. Negatives specify children (e.g. -3 will serve 3 children)
  6. Click Save Settings
  7. s2s is now configured. Unless you have problems, you will not need to configure it again.

Start your station

Option 1: Graphical User Interface (GUI)

  1. Enter a shoutcast/icecast address
  2. Click |Serve public| to start your station and add it to the station directory, or |Serve Private| to start your station
  3. Thats it!!!! Listeners should now be able to connect to your station.

Option 2: Command-line interface (CLI)

  1. Launch the s2s server with the argument -nogui (cd to the jar directory, type java -jar -nogui
  2. Type "pub" or "s" to to start your station and add it to the station directory. Type "pri" to start your station
  3. Press Enter
  4. Type in a shoutcast address
  5. Press Enter
  6. Thats it!!!! Listeners should now be able to connect to your station.

Here is a command-line shortcut.You can see stations you have connected to by typing "links". You can type "#" then the number in the station prompt. For example: "s", enter, "#1" will start your station with history entry 1.
